Most of the work is the part you never see.
The patch that closed a hole before anyone found it. The misconfiguration caught before it mattered. The backup that was already tested. None of it makes a good story, and all of it is the job.
See If You’re the Right Fit → (opens in a new tab)The shape of it
Three things run continuously, and you do not start any of them.
- First
We prevent
Your environment gets hardened at the start and kept that way. Devices are encrypted, accounts are locked down, updates land on a schedule we hold ourselves to rather than when someone remembers, and every machine is accounted for. Most problems never happen because the conditions for them were removed.
- Continuously
We watch
Every protected device is monitored around the clock. We are looking for drift as much as for attacks, because environments decay quietly: a protection switched off, a machine that stopped reporting, a new device nobody told us about. You do not have to notice any of it.
- And then
We lead the response
When something does happen, we are already in it. You get told what is happening, what we are doing and what to expect, before you have to ask. We stay with it through resolution rather than to the point where the paperwork closes.
You are not the escalation path. That is the whole difference.
Who decides what
You bring the business problem. We bring the answer.
You should never be asked to choose between two things you have no way to evaluate. That is not a service, it is the work being handed back to you.
We are hiring five people in the spring. We are opening a second location. A customer is asking what our security looks like. We cannot be down on a Friday. This is what we can spend.
Which machines, and how they are configured. What protection runs on them and how it is enforced. How the network is built and separated. When updates land. What gets backed up, how often, and whether the restore actually works.
If we ever hand you a list of technical options and ask you to pick, we have failed you.
When it is not obvious
Judgement calls get made in a fixed order.
Most decisions are easy. The ones that are not tend to pit two good things against each other, at an hour when nobody is available to ask. So the order is settled in advance and it does not move.
- 01Can you keep operating?Everything else is downstream of the business still running. If a choice protects that, it wins.
- 02Are your systems and your data protected?A fast fix that leaves you exposed is not a fix. We would rather take longer and have it actually be closed.
- 03Do you know what is going on?Silence is not neutral, it invents worst cases. You hear from us before you have to chase us.
- 04Is this a good use of time and money?Ours as well as yours. But it comes fourth, not first.
- 05Which tool fits?Last, and deliberately. Tools serve the four things above them. We do not build around a product because we happen to sell it.
Marked rows win, every time
The first two beat the last two every time, including when that costs us money.
Case studies
Two jobs, start to finish.
- Paying for IT Security That Was Never ThereHow one client discovered their "managed" network had never been managed at all, and what we found when we opened the hood.around 4 June 2026
- Two Weeks to Replace Everything the Hospital Was Taking BackA family practice found out the closing hospital owned their firewall, their computers, their printers and their phone system. They had fourteen days.around 3 January 2024
What does not bend
Some things are standards, not preferences.
There is a set of things we do the same way on every covered environment, every time, whether or not it is convenient and whether or not anyone would ever find out. Security baselines. How an incident is handled. How backups are run and proven. What gets written down, and where.
Our people decide how to solve a problem. They do not decide whether those standards apply. Freedom lives inside the standards, not outside them, and that is what makes the $100,000 Breach Warranty possible rather than the other way round.
How the Warranty Works →Which level you need is a question we can answer in one conversation.
Coverage is sized to the business. Tell us what yours has to keep doing, and what it would cost you to stop, and we will tell you plainly what it takes.
